About this tool
Different platforms expect different image dimensions — a social media banner, a product thumbnail, a print template. This tool lets you type in the exact pixel width and height you need and produces a resized copy immediately, using canvas-based scaling in your browser.
Locking the aspect ratio keeps your subject from looking stretched or squeezed: change the width and the height follows automatically, and vice versa. Unlock it when you deliberately need a different proportion, such as fitting an image into a fixed banner shape.
Why use it
- Exact pixel-perfect width and height
- Aspect-ratio lock prevents stretched images
- Supports JPG, PNG and WebP
- Instant preview before downloading
- No upload — resizing happens on your device
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing make my image blurry?
Making an image smaller rarely causes noticeable blur. Making it significantly larger than its original size can soften detail, since the tool has to invent new pixels — for best results, avoid enlarging by more than 2x.
What happens if I turn off 'keep aspect ratio'?
You can set width and height independently, which will stretch or squeeze the image to fit exactly those dimensions.
Can I resize to a specific dimension used by a social network?
Yes — just type in the exact pixel dimensions that platform requires (for example 1080x1080 for a square post) and the tool will produce that exact size.
Does resizing reduce file size too?
Usually yes, since fewer pixels means less data, but this tool focuses on dimensions. Use the Compress Image tool afterward for further size reduction.
Is there a limit to how many times I can resize an image?
No limit — since everything runs locally in your browser, you can resize as many images, as many times, as you like.
