How is reading time calculated?
It's estimated using an average adult silent reading speed of about 200 words per minute, rounded up to the nearest minute.
Does this count spaces as characters?
Both totals are shown — 'characters' includes spaces, and 'characters (no spaces)' excludes them, so you can match whichever limit you're working against.
How are sentences counted?
Sentences are detected by counting punctuation marks that typically end a sentence (periods, question marks, exclamation points) followed by a space or the end of the text.
Is there a limit to how much text I can paste?
